DM25 A Big Success

Our annual multi-marque German car show was a huge success! Despite a rather late change of location, necessitated by the City of Renton, it was a great show. The new event site was America’s Car Museum in Tacoma, a place the BMW Club has visited in the past for big shows, including the Centennial Celebration and the chapter’s 50 + 2 years anniversary, with two years tacked on due to Covid.
The line up to get into the show. Photo by Christian BouchezEvent Chair Stefan Yotz did yeoman’s work pulling the show together and putting together the biggest vendor involvement ever. We had five sponsoring partners, 19 partners attending and 22 donating items to the raffle. That raffle was epic with $10,000 worth of goods and services. Raffle winners were very happy.
We had a great mix of German cars. Photo by Christian BouchezTotal attendance was about 200 cars, which didn’t fill the field, but it was close. The variety of cars was amazing with the BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, Audi, and VW clubs all represented. We even had one almost new Opel on the field, something few have seen. It was in the U.S. temporarily with a serviceman.
This was a tuner show with an amazing variety of vendors. Photo by Christian BouchezWe’ll be able to make a substantial donation to charity when the accounting is done. Plan on joining us next year.
