The Art of Racing in the Rain opens in theatres on August 9th. The movie is an adaptation of the best-selling novel by Garth Stein, a local writer and car enthusiast. Local race tracks and drivers are featured in this movie.

The Art of Racing in the Rain centers on a family dog named Enzo who wants to be a human. Enzo evaluates his life through the lessons learned from his human owner, a professional Formula One race-car driver named Denny Swift. Besides his career, Denny has three loves of his life — his beautiful wife, their young daughter and his dog Enzo. Through listening closely to Denny, Enzo has gained tremendous insight into the human condition, and he sees that life, like racing, isn’t simply about going fast. Using the techniques needed on the race track, one can successfully navigate all of life’s ordeals.

The Art of Racing in the Rain is a beautifully crafted and captivating look at the wonders and absurdities of human life…as only a dog could tell it.
