The Wundercars are Back!

You remember the Wundercar Collection. They are the creation of Christian Zschocke, the German with a love for the E3 sedans, mostly known as the Bavaria in America. Christian has created four very special custom E3s:

The New Horizon—An art car featuring images from 1969, especially the pink panther and the moon landing.

The California—An E3 sedan turned into a two-door open car, with beautiful lines and finishes that look factory or better.

The Inka—The name comes from the color and the car emphasizes the sportiness of BMWs of that era.

The Group 1—This is an E3 turned into a race car, starting with the original car’s driving dynamics and building from there.

The Wundercar Collection was supposed to be a part of our 50 + 2 Celebration in September. Circumstances outside our control meant that didn’t happen. But now you’ve got two opportunities to see the Wundercar Collection.

Seattle Auto Show

The Wundercars will be featured at the Seattle Auto Show from November 10-13. If you’re planning on attending the show, you will have an opportunity to see the Wundercar Collection there.

Private Showing

A much better opportunity to see the Wundercar Collection will be a private showing at BMW Seattle. This will happen on November 20, Sunday, from 9:00 to 11:00 am. This is the two-hour window before the dealership’s showroom opens for business.

The cost for the private showing is $10 per person plus a non-perishable food donation for Food Lifeline. In the past at similar events, people have chosen to give more than the minimum required, so please, if you’re feeling generous…it’s for a good cause. While the food donations will go to Food Lifeline, part of the event proceeds will go to the BMW CCA Foundation. We’ll also be collecting unwrapped, new toys for the Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots annual drive. So, lots of ways to help others as we enter the holiday season.

Besides seeing the cars, the owner/creator of the Collection, Christian Zschocke, will be flying in from Frankfurt for this event and will speak to us about this amazing group of cars.

But that’s not all! We will also hear recordings of the special music that has been commissioned for these cars. There is one piece of music for each of the cars and a fifth piece of music for the Collection. There will also be 1/18 scale models from Minichamps of The New Horizons car available for sale, along with books and magazines of the cars, also for sale.

Tis the Season for Charitable Giving

The event will feature coffee and a light breakfast, courtesy of BMW Seattle. All proceeds from the event, including merchandise purchases, will be donated to local charities and the BMW CCA Foundation. We will also be accepting new but unwrapped toys for the Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots Program.

The event is limited to the first 200 people to register. Payment of the $10 admission fee is at the door, preferably in cash. Send your reservation request to Tammy Wiest at tammyjcw@gmail.com.
